SRI-India is an online network powered by Google, for promoting information and discussion amongst farmers, civil society practitioners, scientists, academicians, students and others interested in research and application of System of Rice Intensification for attaining food security. SRI-India formally floated during October 2007 has a membership base of 488 from India and other parts of the globe. Today, this network has emerged as a vibrant online platform for exchange of ideas, discussions, debates and information dissemination on SRI. The SRI Timubuktu Blog is the brainchild of Erika Styger – an Independent Consultant on Tropical Agrnomy and Natural Resource Management. This blog primarily brings updates from farmer based SRI interventions in Timbuktu.
